Yummly boasts 2M+ recipes to choose from. A recipe page is where you find all the details about a recipe you found on our site. Here’s how it works:
Yum Button
See a recipe you’d like to save for later? Tap the Yum button. Congratulations! You’ve saved a recipe, which you can now add to your collections.
To remove a Yum from your saved recipes, tap Yum’d. It will turn back into an orange Yum button.
Number next to the Yum button
The number next to the Yum button shows how many people have already saved the recipe.
Ingredients
Each recipe has a list of ingredients and the option to add some or all to your Shopping List. When viewing a recipe, add individual ingredients to your Shopping List by scrolling down or tapping Ingredients at the bottom of the screen, then the + symbol to the left of the ingredient or Add All to Shopping List at the top to add all of the ingredients at once.
Nutrition
Yummly displays the calorie count for all recipes on our site. Subscribers can also see detailed nutritional values per serving, including fat, carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, minerals, and other information. Add any recipe’s nutrition facts to your Health app to track the nutrients and servings of what you eat:
- In a recipe screen, scroll to Nutrition and tap View More. It’ll take you to the nutrition breakdown screen. Tap Health App and this recipe’s nutrition information will automatically be added to your Health app.
- You can also manually add entries directly in the Health app. Tap Browse, Nutrition, then the nutrient you’d like to update, and tap Add Data.
Directions
Want to see how to make a recipe? Tap Get Directions to open the link to the original webpage where the recipe is published. To return to Yummly, tap x or the Back arrow.

Adding to a collection
To add a saved recipe to a collection, tap the white squares to the right of the recipe in your home feed or — once you’ve selected the recipe — in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. It will bring up a menu showing your collections. Check the existing collections you’d like to add the recipe to. To create a collection, tap New Collection, then name it and tap Done. After you’ve added the recipe to a collection, the squares will be orange.
